gratitude: temples

Today Garret and I had the opportunity to go to the Ogden LDS Temple Rededication. These are always such special and rare opportunities. At first I was hesitant to go because I would have to leave Gracie for the first time since she was born. After debating about it in my mind for a couple weeks I decided that this was something that I needed to go to, and I am so glad I decided to go.

We went to the second session of the Rededication where President Eyring conducted. The talks given were wonderful and truly inspired. I felt the spirit so strongly. While there isn't one particular talk or point that stood out above the rest, it was the overall feeling of the entire meeting that impressed me. I now have an even greater appreciation of the temple, the covenants I have made with my Heavenly Father, of the ordinances I have performed, and of the importance of the family and it's potential to be eternal.

I am so grateful to have a testimony of the temple. I am grateful my little Gracie was able to be born into the covenant. I am grateful that Garret and I were worthy to be married for all eternity in the temple. I am grateful that I am still worthy to enter the Lords house and perform work for the dead.

I hope to do better at attending the temple on a regular basis and be an example to my daughter of the importance of temple worthiness and attendance.
